We continue our new series called “Taking the Plunge.” Between now and the start of Lent (February 14) we’ll be exploring the first part of the Gospel of Mark. Learning Resources for the Gospel of Mark

From now until Easter our worship focus at St. Andrew’s will be on the Gospel of Mark. On Sundays we’ll be going through a few key passages as we journey through the story of the Gospel and offering online learning resources if you want to go deeper.

BibleProject - Wikipedia

Bible Project has a number of excellent resources on Mark. Among them are two video summaries of the Gospel — one shorter and more dramatic, the second more detailed and low-key. You can find them below.

There are additional resources that go with the more detailed overview video above – including an illustrated outline, study questions, and links to additional resources. You can find them here: https://bibleproject.com/explore/video/mark/

Sermon For The Second Sunday of Advent December 10th, 2023

This is the second part in our worship series for the season of Advent, “Opening The Door… To Peace.” This series will connect the themes of Advent to the vision of St. Andrew’s (https://standrews.ws/about/). This week we’re connecting the second point of our vision “Opening Doors… to Our Neighbours” to the Advent theme of Peace.

The message takes the form of a conversation between Rev. John Read and Rev. Aaron Gerrard, the pastor of Ancaster Village Church. AVC is a 10 year old “Church Plant” that has been meeting in the St. Andrew’s building since October.

Sermon For The First Sunday of Advent December 3rd, 2023

This is the first message in our worship series for the season of Advent, “Opening The Door… To Hope.” Advent is a season where we remember how God came to us in Jesus, look forward to the hope of God’s new world when Jesus comes again, and open ourselves to the ways that Jesus comes to us in the present.

This series will also connect the themes of Advent (Hope, Peace, Joy & Love) to the vision of St. Andrew’s, which can be found here: https://standrews.ws/about/
