Sermon for Sunday October 22, 2023

This is the first message in our new worship series, “Growing Into God’s Purpose.” It’s often said in church circles that “God doesn’t call the qualified, he qualifies the called.” We’re going to spend a few weeks exploring this idea by working through the story of Jacob in Genesis 25-35.

This week we’ll be looking at the start of Jacob’s story in Genesis 25 & 27, and reflect on how there’s good news in the fact that he seems like last person God would choose to be a part of his mission to bless the world.

Sermon for Thanksgiving Sunday October 8, 2023

This is the fourth message in our ongoing worship series, “Partners in Mission.” This week’s message “More Than We Deserve,” is based on Genesis 18 and 21. We reflect on the good news that God is a generous giver, whose gifts do not depend on us being worthy or deserving.

Sermon for Sunday October 1, 2023

This is the third message in our current worship series, “Partners in Mission.” We are working through the story of Abraham and Sarah in the book of Genesis as we learn about our place in God’s mission. This week’s message “Trust and Patience,” is based on on Genesis 16, and reflects on the challenge we have in waiting for God to do things in his time and his unique way.
