Announcements

Today is the 3rd Sunday in Lent and our Annual Meeting. We continue our Lent worship series – “Walking the Way of the Cross.”

2023 Annual Meeting & Lunch:

St. Andrew’s Annual Meeting will be held following worship today. Printed copies of the Annual Report, including the proposed church budget are available at the back of the sanctuary. A light lunch will be offered between worship and the start of the Annual Meeting. There will be the opportunity to write down your hopes and dreams for the future of St. Andrew’s and place them in a basket on each table. You can discuss with others at your table if you would like, and there will be the opportunity to share some of these hopes and dreams during the meeting. We will also take some time to pray together and offer these hopes and dreams to God.

McMaster Chaplaincy Exam Drop-In:

Homemade and packaged cookies are needed for the April Exam Drop In offered by the McMaster Ecumenical Chaplaincy. This small act of hospitality makes a big difference for students. Please bring your cookies on Sunday March 26, 2023.  Thank you.

Good Friday Service – April 7 at 10:30am:

Join us for a reflective service of readings, drama and special music as we remember and give thanks for what Jesus has accomplished by his suffering and sacrifice on the cross.

Next Steps for New Beginnings:

Our New Beginnings Assessment went very well this past Monday. Many thanks to everyone who attended and contributed. In 5-6 weeks, the Session will receive our Assessment Report and be assigned a Coach to see us through the rest of the process. Shortly after this the Coach will lead a Transformational Ministry Weekend. This will involve an open workshop on a Friday evening, a small group leader training event on the Saturday, and special worship led by the Coach on Sunday. The report will be shared with the whole congregation through small group meetings following the Weekend. Session will communicate the date of this weekend as soon as we have one, as it is very important to have everyone take part.

Loose Change Sunday for Mission:

The Mission Team will be holding a “Loose Change Sunday” in support of the PWS&D Malawi Cholera Relief Appeal on Palm Sunday, April 2, 2023. To learn more go to:
