Access Update July 13th, 2017

This past week saw the removal of the ceiling outside the gym entrance.

Next week we will be starting with tree removal and brush removal.   We will be setting a fence up to close off the sidewalk going to the narthex stairs and stairs going down to the main entrance.  So there is lots of progress on the project.

Construction

Last week we had the ground breaking (see photo) and this week you’ll notice the work has started.  Services will continue as normal.  This week we welcome Rev. John Hibbs to lead us in worship.

Sunday School Celebration – June 25

This Band Sunday marks the year-end celebration of our Sunday school.  Not only will the children be recognized for their participation in Sunday school, but they will be sharing a special song with us as well, accompanied by the band.  After the service, we hope that everyone will join us for a lunch of sandwiches and dessert treats downstairs in our hall, followed by outside water games and fun, weather permitting.  All ages are welcome but please remember to either dress appropriately or bring a change of clothes!   We are looking forward to a great time of fellowship and fun.  See you Sunday!

Band Sunday

Sunday June 25 is a Band Sunday.   The St. Andrew’s band will lead us in praise as all ages worship and learn together what it means for us to keep Sabbath.

Access Update

Important Accessibility Project Update

The Accessibility Project Team is extremely pleased to announce that we have received the building permit from the City of Hamilton!
The permit process has taken approximately eight months and has required multiple minor variances from the City’s Committee of Adjustments, an Encroachment Agreement with the City (the building encroaches on the road allowance) and our agreement to build a new emergency exit from the back office.
With the approvals process now behind us, we will now focus on the next final steps, which include reviewing the final construction cost proposals and entering into a construction contract.
We will keep you up-to-date as we progress through these final steps before construction.
