Message: Mothers of the Messiah (Part 2 of 7) – Radical Trust

This week we continue our new series on the women in Jesus’ family tree who are highlighted in Matthew 1:1-6 — Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Naomi and Bathsheba. We’ll be looking at how people who seem powerless can get through dangerous times and become an essential part of God’s good purpose.
Today we turn to the story of Rahab in the book of Joshua (Chapters 2 and 6). This is a story that involves radical trust — both on Rahab’s part and on the part of the Israelite spies she rescues. We’ll be reflecting on the way that trust and being trustworthy opens the door to new life and new possibilities.
