Prayer Ministry
God calls us to pray. Romans 12:12 says “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Philippians 4:6 says “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” We know that God is faithful and hears our prayers. Even though our prayers may not be answered the way that we want or when we want – we are to continue to come to Him with our prayers.
We meet each Thursday in the sanctuary at 9:30am to bring our requests to God and to offer our thanks to Him for all that He has done for us. We invite you to join us. The Prayer Group is open to anyone who desires to pray for our church, our community and our world. If you have any prayer requests, which will be prayed for in confidence, please contact Diane Robb 905-648-0306 or Meghan McIntosh 905-975-2781
Lectio Divina Group
The Lectio Divina group is a spiritual formation group that facilitates listening to God and spiritual conversation. Lectio Divina is a contemplative way of reading the Bible. Lectio divina is Latin for “divine reading,” and is a practice of slowly meditating upon, praying, being formed by God’s word and quietly resting in God’s loving presence. Each week we engage with a selected brief passage of Scripture, share with one another on how God is speaking to each one of us through the passage and take time to pray for one another.
The Lectio Divina group meets in the sanctuary on Wednesday mornings 9:30am to 10:30am and all are welcome. Contact Diane Robb 905-648-0306 or Meghan McIntosh 905-975-2781
