Announcements

Today is the second Sunday in Lent and we are also celebrating Communion. We continue our Lent worship series – “Walking the Way of the Cross.”

2023 Annual Meeting & Annual Report:

St. Andrew’s Annual Meeting for 2023 will be held following worship next Sunday, March 12. Printed copies of the Annual Report, including the proposed church budget are now available at the back of the sanctuary. A digital copy was also circulated in the weekly email newsletter.

Lunch & Annual Meeting Discussion:

A light lunch will be offered between worship and the start of the Annual Meeting. During lunch there will be the opportunity to write down your hopes and dreams for the future of St. Andrew’s and place them in a basket on each table. You can discuss with others at your table if you would like, and there will be the opportunity to share some of these hopes and dreams during the meeting. We will also take some time to pray together and offer these hopes and dreams to God.

McMaster Chaplaincy Exam Drop-In:

Homemade and packaged cookies are needed for the April Exam Drop In offered by the McMaster Ecumenical Chaplaincy. This small act of hospitality makes a big difference for students. Please bring your cookies on Sunday March 26, 2023.  Thank you.

Loose Change Sunday for Mission:

The Mission Team will be holding a “Loose Change Sunday” in support of the PWS&D Malawi Cholera Relief Appeal on Palm Sunday, April 2, 2023. The Presbyterian Church in Canada has strong ties to the Presbyterian Church in Malawi and supports ongoing development in what is one of the poorest countries in the world. Malawi has been suffering a severe Cholera outbreak since early 2022 due to flooding and other damage caused by Tropical Storm Ana. To learn more about the situation go to:
